We will then engage in a brief (10-15 minute) phone conversation. If it feels appropriate, we will then schedule an initial face-to-face or online consultation where we will discuss things in depth and consider together if therapy seems to be the right way forward.
The decision to start therapy is an important commitment. This initial consultation will give you a flavour of what it would be like working together. My fees vary according to venue and are agreed during the initial call and before the initial consultation. Ongoing fees are invoiced at the end of each calendar month.
Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes long and the ongoing fee will be agreed during the first consultation. The sessions will usually take place at the same day and time every week.
Therapy is at the same time each week, and this is agreed with you before therapy begins.This regularity and consistency in the session times is an important aspect of the therapy process and for building a positive therapeutic experience. Sessions can be either short term (pre-agreed number of sessions) or open-ended.
